摘要
车牌识别是智能交通系统的重点研究方向之一,车牌定位是车牌识别的重要技术环节。笔者研究了基于canny算子的边缘检测和数学形态学运算的车牌定位算法,并对算法进行分析验证。结果表明该车牌定位方法准确率较高,有利于车牌识别。
License plate recognition(LPR) is an important part of intelligent transportation systems,and License plate location is an important component of LPR.In this paper,Canny operator is used to detect the edge of the car image.An algorithm of license plate location based on mathematical morphoogy is proposed.Experimental results indicate that the proposed method has high locating accuracy rate and facilitates the subsequent plate recognition.
