The Xin Tang Shu (New Books of Tang Dynasty, 1060) is a series of books featured by "more contents but less words compared with its predecessor", meaning that it contains many more historical data but much less words than the Jiu Tang Shu ( Old Books of Tang Dynasty, 945 ). Many omissions in it are, howev- er, deliberate, and therefore inappropriate. In addition, its confusion with such details as the time and the lo- cation while rewriting some of the historical facts has been another target of queries and challenges for later scholars.
