摘要
在仔细分析学生掌握信息论课程知识的关键障碍的基础上,提出了基于数值实验的新教学方法,其实质是以计算机软件为工具,实现对典型信道、信源、网络等实体的建模,并在此基础上通过数值计算来展示信息论独特的科学规律。分析了该教学方法的特点,以渐进典型集合的性质及Shannon定理的教学为例,详细阐述了具体案例,并据此体现该方法较之传统教学方法的独特优势。
On basis of analyzing the dominating hardness for undergraduate students to master information theory, a numerical experiment-based method is put forward to teach the information theory. Its essence is to model the typical channels, signal sources and networks, etc. , by means of computer software and to present the subject's remarkable principles via numerical computations. The characteristics and advantages of this method are analyzed and revealed via systematic descriptions on the cases of studying the asymptotic typical set properties and Shannon Theorem.
