摘要
《冥报记》是唐临编纂的一部宣传佛教因果报应思想的小说集。冥报故事中对不孝、偷盗、欠债、残害生命等罪行的严厉处罚,在一定程度上对社会不正之风起到了威慑作用,从这个意义上说,《冥报记》与官方强调的治国安民之策相吻合,起到了维护国家政治安定的作用;从民间的角度看,《冥报记》中记载的栩栩如生而又看似真实可信的冥报故事,使那些有冤无处诉的百姓们找到了心理平衡的支点,成为了他们强大的精神寄托。同时,《冥报记》中较为完善的司法体系及生人判冥事故事题材的出现,折射出冥律亦如人间刑狱的再现。
Ming Bao Ji is a collection of stories by Tang Lin to publicize Buddhist karma thought. The stories of severely pun- ishing unfiliality, stealing, debt, murder and other crimes, to a certain extent played a deterrent effect on the social unwholesome tendencies. In this sense, Ming Bao Ji is consistent with the policy of governments to safeguard national political stability. From the folks＇point of view, these seemingly true stories become fulcrum of psychological balance and strong spirit support of those people who have no way to ＇relate unjust case. At the same time, the realtively perfect judicial systems and stories in Ming Bao Ji reflect the repro- duction of the jail in the real world.
