摘要
唐代"岳牧举"从"主—客"关系上说主要有两类:一是"岳牧"举荐人才,往往与封禅之类活动相关,属特殊制举;二是举荐"岳牧"型人才,是通常制举。前者还有更具体的考试和录取科目;后者本身就是科目,是严格意义上的"岳牧举",为唐人所创置。"岳牧"在唐代一般作为"高级地方长官"的代称,以上两类"岳牧举"又可进行相应的"置换",从而成为广义的"岳牧举"。文献记载和学者论著多不详明和准确。由于"岳牧"在国家政治和文化的地位和意义特别重要,历代帝王莫不慎重其选,唐代则达到新的高度。
Yuemu Ju examination system during Tang Dynasty was classified into two categories based on the relationship between the subject and the object： one is that ＂Yuemu＂, another name of the local senior official in Tang Dynasty, recommended talents, which was related to activities of offering sacrifices to heaven and earth and was a special Zhi Ju examination system; the other is that talents of ＂Yuemu＂ were recommended, which was a regular Zhi Ju examination system. The former consisted of specific examinations and subjects of enrollment, while the latter was a strict Yaemu Ju examination system, originated in Tang Dynasty. The two ＂Yuemu Ju＂ could replace each other and thus became Yuemu Ju examination system in a broad sense. The historical documents and relevant studies of ＂Yuemu Ju＂ are far from exhaustive and accurate. The emperors of ages attached importance to ＂Yuemu＂ due to its significance in the political and cultural development of the country, and the selection of ＂Yuemu＂ reached new height in Tang Dynasty.
