巴洛克家具风格深受明代家具风格的影响。明代家具设计崇尚天然的理念,追求清韵的意境,技术精良,造型风格简练浑厚、重结构美、妍秀典雅。由于政治稳定、经济发达,使得明代家具大规模的发展变为可能。巴洛克家具设计具有浪漫主义的风格特征,崇尚自由,其造型风格标新立异、繁复新颖、富丽堂皇。巴洛克风格家具也随法国经济的发展,社会环境的变迁在欧洲大陆逐渐扩张。
