摘要
《水浒传》中运用了大量的修辞手法,在增加了艺术感染力的同时,也给小说的翻译增添了难度。奈达的功能对等,是指译文对译文接受者所起的作用与原文对原文接受者所起的作用大体对等。本文以登特·杨父子合译的《水浒传》新译本为例,运用奈达的功能对等理论,对《水浒传》英译本中常见修辞手法的翻译处理进行分析。
In the Chinese novel of ＂Shui Hu Zhuan＂, there are many rhetoric devices, which can not only enhance the artistic appeal, but also will add more difficulties to the translation of it. Eugene A. Nida＇ s theory of functional equivalence has been defined on the basis that the readers of a translated text should be able to understand and appreciate it in essentially the same manner as the original readers did. This paper, using Eugene A. Nida＇ s theory of Functional Equivalence, makes an analysis on the translation skills of several rhetorical devices commonly used in the English version of ＂Shui Hu Zhuan＂, an example. taking The Marshes of Mount Liang by Dent--Young as
