摘要
中学英语课程改革的成功实施依赖高素质的英语教师队伍。通过定性研究,笔者对河南省4市区8名q-学生进行了访谈,旨在探讨学生视角下优秀中学英语教师应该具备哪些素质。研究结果显示,中学优秀英语教师素质由崇高的师德素养、出色的专业素质和鲜活的人格魅力三个纬度构建而成。该研究结论为中学英语教师发展和中学英语教学带来诸多启示。未来教学应该注重师生间的语言、情感交流,教学手段多样化,教学内容丰富,并一视同仁地对待学生。
The successful depends on proficient Englis implementation of English language h teachers. Adopting a qualitative curriculum reform at high schools largely research, the authors conducted semi-structured interviews with eight students from four cities in Henan province. The intended purpose of the study was to explore the qualities of proficient high school English teachers from students' perspective. The findings of the study have suggested that proficient English teachers are characterized by the following three features: high professional morals, excellent English professional qualities and good personal traits. Those research findings have not only provided the directions for the professional development of teachers but also shed light on English language education in high schools. Further study needs to focus on the mutual communications with students, adopt flexible and various teaching methods, use rich materials and be equal to students.
