摘要
鉴于传统h指数统计方法的种种不足之处,采用由h指数批量统计法测得的领域内全部作者的Dh指数作为替代物研究作者h指数分布规律,以部分WoS数据、CSSCI各学科数据为数据集进行了大规模实证研究,发现随着指标数值降低相应等级作者的数量越来越大,作者h指数分布符合幂律分布,认为广义洛特卡定律在h指数领域大体适用。认为h指数的区分能力会随着指标门槛的降低而急剧下降,指出盲目推崇h指数指标的后果并给出了合理使用建议。此外,文章还就研究中发现的h指数为0的现象探讨了其意义。
To overcome the disadvantages of traditional methods of gathering h-index data,the paper uses Domain h-index for instead,which can get all the authors’h-index in a domain with Large-scale H-index Extracting Approach.The paper made case studies on large scale datasets from WoS and CSSCI,discovered that the amount of authors increases sharply along with the reduction of h-index,the distribution law of h-index and authors is power law and Lotka's law can be used in h-index level.Hence,the paper concludes that the distinguish ability of h-index will decrease greatly with the decline of h-index value and blind worship of h-index can lead to serious effect.In the end,advices on using h-index and the meaning of zero h-index are also discussed.
