摘要
我国境内出土的下颌托目前有100多件，广泛分布在新疆、山西、河南、陕西、三峡、湖南、广州等地，质地有布帛、铜、铅、金、银等，时代从春秋一直延续到宋元时期，目前已有学者就其形制和用途进行了探讨Ⅲ。下颌托材料的陆续发表，为全面系统探讨其形制、用途和源头提供了可能，为此草撰此文。一、下颌托在我国境内的出土情况我国出土的下颌托大致集中在以下区域。（一）新疆地区近40件，主要出土于和田伊玛目木沙卡兹木麻扎墓地、尉犁营盘墓地、民丰尼雅墓地、和田山普拉墓地、且末扎洪鲁克墓地等，均属布帛类。
The chin rests existing in China originated in the ancient Greece, so they are the products of the cultural communications on the Eurasia Continent. Around the Spring-and-Autumn Period, chin rest was introduced into the present-day Xinjiang; in the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was adopted by Xianbei people in Datong area first; when the Northern Wei Dynasty transferred its capital to Luoyang, chin rests appeared in Luoyang and Chang＇ an areas where they continued to exist down to the Tang Dynasty. Since the An Lushan Rebellion （755-763 AD）, along with the southward moving of the middle-class people, chin rests diffused to the Three Gorges area and the southern regions. The user group of chin rests in China was very limited; they were used to protect the chin （of the deaths） in order to protect the souls of the tomb occupants, which is similar to the function of the masks used in the funeral customs. It is the embodiment of the view of soul of Shamanism.
