Based on a series of systematic tests of SMA mixture for pavement performance by using different asphalt grade, this paper analyzes the influences of asphalt grade on asphalt mixture's high temperature stability, low temperature cracking resistance and fatigue resistance. The results indicate that using low grade asphalt SMA mixture has better pavement performance than using high grade asphalt.
