摘要
语言是文化的载体,而文化在人际交流中尤为重要。外语教学的目标不应仅仅是培养学生的语言能力,而且还应当培养学生跨文化交流的技能。因此笔者认为文化学习对于外语教学来说是必不可少的,是教学中的重要组成部分,将文化学习与外语教学有机结合能在很大程度上提高高职院校学生的外语交际能力。
Language is the carrier of culture and plays a very important role in social cultural development. Culture has an effect on interpersonal communication in which language plays the main role. Language and culture cannot be separated. The ultimate goal of foreign language teaching is not only to improve the learner＇s language proficiency but also his communicative competence. Unfortunately, incorporating culture into college English teaching has long been ignored in China. As a result, learner＇s communicative competence is not adequately developed. Therefore, the author of this thesis considers cultural instruction as an important part in vocational college English teaching.
