Objective To study the effects of lifestyle intervention and auricular points pressing on community resi- dents with dyslipidemia to provide a scientific basis fo lipid lowing therapy. Methods 582 patients with dyslipidemia on low - moderate risk in Liu rong community of Yue xiu district in GZ were randomly divide into treatment group receiving thera- peutic lifestyle intervention and auricular pressing, control group 1 receiving lifestyle intervention along, and control group 2 using auricular points pressing therapy alone, the plasma lipid levels and some other index of risk factors were detected after 15 months treatment. Results there was significant change in TC, TG, LDL - C, HDL - C levels between the treatment group and two control groups(p 〈0.01). the difference in the levels of FBS,2hhPg,BM~, BP was statistical signifieance(p 〈 0. 05). there was no significant difference for the plasma lipid levels and some other risk factors between the two control groups(p 〉 0.05 ). the overall response rate in treatmem group, control group l and control group 2 was 91.60% ,82. 70%, 81.80% respectively(p 〈 0. 01 ). Conclusion The combination of lifestyle intervention and auricular points pressing therapy is a simple, effective and inexpensive method to treat patients with dyslipidemia on low - moderate risk. therefore, it is worth popularizing in the primary and secondary prevention of chronic disease in community.
