An Algorithm for Simplifying CAE Meshes with Physical Property

摘要 受可视化系统软硬件性能的限制,复杂机械产品仿真分析的大规模结果数据往往难以实时渲染和交互,由此提出一种基于物理属性的CAE网格模型简化方法。引入基于物理属性的节点重要度,将节点重要度加权到节点初始二次误差中,同时将整体网格的物理属性总和分散到每个节点,使得CAE网格模型简化能同时考虑节点物理属性误差和节点几何误差;计算各节点的近似物理属性梯度,并将物理属性梯度加权到边折叠代价中,实现边对折叠顺序的控制;在边折叠过程中,根据折叠边对关联节点的物理属性之和确定收缩节点的物理属性。试验结果表明,此算法能够保持CAE仿真分析结果网格模型物理属性的最大、最小值区域,能够保持原始网格节点物理属性的变化规律,同时能够保证简化前后网格物理属性总和的不变性。 For the limit of the software and hardware of the visualization system, it is a challenge to interactive render of the massive simulation result data of complex mechanical products. A new algorithm for simplifying CAE meshes with physical property is presented. A new vertex importance based on physical property is introduced, and it is added into the quadric error metric of each vertex. Simultaneously, the total physical property is distributed to every vertex of the triangle meshes. The physical gradient of each vertex is calculated, and it is added into the cost of contracting pair of the quadric error metric based simplification algorithm. Iterative remove the edge pair and merge the distributed total physical property of the edge pair into one, a progressive CAE meshes are generated. The empirical results show that the proposed algorithm is able to retain the area with maximum and minimum physical property, to maintain the physical property tendency of the original model, and also to ensure that the total physical property to be the same during simplifying.
