摘要
明代禁小说令十分严格,从中央政令到地方法令再到社会舆论,层层罗网对小说进行施压。然而,小说禁令只是官方进行思想统治的一种手段,并未从根本上阻碍小说的发展。首先,明代官方禁小说令的实施有其自身的局限性,再加之禁令的颁布总是滞后于小说作品的产生,所以小说依旧会按照其自身的发展轨迹前行。其次,小说禁令与整个社会思潮的冲突,说明了在明代这一独特的社会历史条件下,小说的蓬勃发展已成为必然之势。最后,小说创作与意识形态的逐渐融合,从思想层面揭示了明代小说发展所具有的宽阔空间。
The ban of novels was quite strict in the Ming dynasty. From central decisions to local administrative orders as well as the public opinions, all endeavored to suppress the develop- ment of novels. Nevertheless, the ban was only an official measure of spiritual rule and did not substantially binder the development of novels. Firstly, the ban had its own limitations. The im- plement of the ban was after the coming out of novels so that the novels developed in their due course. Secondly, the ban was in conflict with social ideological trend of that era which proves that the booming of novels is the natural trend under the specific background of the Ming dynas- ty. Finally, the fusion between novel writing and ideology paved a wide path for the development of novels in the Ming dynasty.
