摘要
20世纪初,中国遭遇一次严重的南海危机。东沙、西沙和南沙丰富的资源和海产,以及战略位置等引起了日、法等国的觊觎。动荡中的中国,依然坚持对南海岛屿及海洋的主权维护,积极开展岛屿经营和开发,并受到了报刊的正面支持,引起了较为广泛的社会关注。
At the beginning of 20th century, China suffered a serious crisis in the South China Sea. Resource and marine products in Dongsha, Xisha and Nansha, and the strategic location was coveted by some countries including Japan and France. Although China was turbulent at that time, this country still insisted on the sovereignty over islands and ocean in the South China Sea. It actively engaged in the islands resources development. All this received positive support from the press, and aroused widespread social concern.
