摘要
从历史文献的数据中可以梳理出明王朝中后期的发展脉络。明朝初期,皇帝大臣经历战乱,了解民生困苦,尚能轻徭薄赋、勤勉于政事,政治也较清明。及至后来,上至皇帝,下至官员,以及皇帝身边的人,日渐腐败,荒怠政事。百姓遭逢年馑灾害,苦于重赋,难忍官府敲扑,揭竿而起。天下随之大乱。
The context of the development of the late Ming can be seen from the data in the literature. In the early stages of the Ming Dy- nasty, the emperor and his ministers understood the plight of the population. Then the tax was very light. The emperor and his ministers were diligent in handling political affairs. Society was not corrupt. But in the late Ming Dynasty, the emperor, officials or the people a- round the emperor grew corrupt, ignoring the public affairs. In the event of disasters, people lived in hardship. In the late Ming Dynas- ty, the tax was very heavy, people suffered from unbearable official exploitation, and they rose in revolt. The world was plunged into chaos.
