Ye Mengde wrote poetry by combining both the melancholy and the imposing style. He wrote smoothly with tender feelings and with a peculiar poetical style. The main body of his poetry is flamboyant, tending to use the words of ＂laugh＂ and ＂wild＂ for the vehement emotions and external feelings. He wrote with vigor and vitality, full of unrestrained imagination and expressing his subjective feelings of flamboyancy vividly.
