摘要
生态批评的主要目的和任务是揭示蕴含在文学作品,尤其是经典作品中的生态思想和反生态思想的根源。海明威的经典之作《老人与海》深受生态批评界的关注,并从不同角度揭示了它的生态观的矛盾性,而这种矛盾性的背后却隐藏着经济、文化和观念等多种因素的作用。本文将从生态批评的视角探讨《老人与海》生态观矛盾性的根源,从而反观导致人类生态危机的根源。
Ecological criticism defines tracing the origins of ecological and anti - ecological thoughts implied in literature, especially in classical literature as its mission and aim. The Old Man and the Sea, one of masterpieces of Hemingway, receives great concern from ecological criticism and its contradiction of ecological views, which implies the causes of economy, culture and values, is revealed from different angles. This paper aims to explore the origins of contradiction of ecological views in The Old Man and the Sea from perspective of ecological criticism and traces the origins leading to our human ecological crisis.
