摘要
基于149家银行样本,本文对我国中小银行跨区经营的现状、模式及其影响因素进行了分析。主要发现包括:(1)跨区经营在中小银行中已较为普遍并呈逐年加快趋势,但真正实施跨省经营的还较少;(2)跨区设立分支行、跨区参股银行是中小银行实施跨区经营的主要模式;(3)经营状况好的中小银行实施跨区经营的可能性更高,本地区信贷资金需求不足是中小银行实施跨区经营的重要原因,跨区经营模式选择受改制时间、贷存比、银行类型等因素共同影响;(4)不同类型、不同行政层级中小银行在跨区经营步伐和模式选择上存在一定差异。
Based on a sample of 149 SMBs (Small and Middle Banks) in China, this article investigates the facts, modes and determinants of SMBs’ trans-regional operations in China. Major findings include: (1) The majority of SMBs have implemented trans-regional operations. However, inter-provincial trans-regional operations are still very rare. Moreover, trans-regional operations in SMBs were accelerating in recent years. (2) Establishing trans-regional branches, holding shares in trans-regional banks are two major modes for SMBs’ trans-regional operations. (3) As for factors that may affect SMBs’ trans-regional operations, SMBs in good conditions are more likely to implement trans-regional operations. Besides, the lack of demand for credit funds in domestic region is an important factor for SMBs to implement trans-regional operations. The choice of different modes of trans-regional operations is affected by many factors, such as age, loan-to-deposit ratio, bank type, etc. (4) For SMBs of different types and of different administrative levels, there is big difference in their paces and choices of trans-regional operation modes.
