摘要 梳理英汉语的使役形式和分类,分析大学英语学生使用英语使役动词的常见错误和使役动词习得的主要困难。分析显示过度使用make类使役链接动词的使役结构为中国学生的多发错误,集"外部动因"和"状态变化"于一身的心理使役动词的使用以及认知和行为使役动词的"状态被动语态"(statal passive)be+V-ed+prep用法是中国学生误用的重灾区。误用和习得困难的主要原因是英汉差异、及物动词和不及物动词的混淆以及英语的"浓缩性现象",针对使役动词的误用和习得困难提出了应对方法。 This paper examines the various forms of causative construction in Chinese and English, and analyzes the errors in using causative verbs by college English students and the causes of these errors and the difficulties in their learning of causative verbs. The common errors include the overuse of the verb make and misuse of mental causative verbs both as the external causer and for change of state and the misuse of the statal passive structure of be + V-ed + prep. The interference by Chinese and the confusion about the transitive verbs and intransitive verbs and English causative lexicalization are the main causes for these errors and learning difficulty. Suggestions are given to deal with these problems in the teaching and learning of these lexicalized causative verbs.
