This paper provides a solutions of a retractable medium wave antenna, discusses in detail the compo-sition and working principle, and expounds comprehensively the design of its structure, drives, electrical control and position detection device. This retractable medium wave antenna possesses the advantages of the the rod medium wave antenna, which has both high radiation performance and high wind resistance. It has a broad ap-plication prospects.
