The Dagangshan Hydropower Station has an arch dam of 210m high,and the extra-large water head requires a high level quality control for excavation of dam abutment groove.The employer adopts the measures as ＂pre-preparing,controlling in process and summing up afterwards＂ according to the excavation requirement.Through meticulous management,the excavation quality of abutment groove reaches an excellent standard,and has been checked and accepted by experts.We demonstrate the excavation management process in detail,which can be referred by similar projects.
