摘要
钾冰晶石是铝及铝合金的良好钎焊剂,有了它铝及铝合金的钎焊才成为可能,现代汽车热交换系统的铝合金散热件、生产分离机(制氧机)的铝交换件等全是用钾冰晶石钎剂焊的。钾冰晶石是砂轮中不可或缺的添加剂。当前铝提取用电解质的钠冰晶石(Na3AlF6)还不能用钾冰晶石取代,一旦惰性阳极与可润湿阴极铝电解槽研制成功,用钾冰晶石作为电解质就可以在超低温(约500℃)下电解质取铝,铝的电耗有可能降低50%左右,钾冰晶石市场会显著扩大,当然这可能是20年或更长时间以后的事。钾冰晶石可用常规的化学法制取,也可以是生产Al-Ti-B中间合金的副产物,它们的品质与各项物理化学性能等同。
Potassium cryolite is a good brazing flux between aluminium and its alloy,which is used for aluminium and its alloys,such as welding of aluminium alloy heat emitting parts of heat exchanging system and air separator(oxygen generator) in cars.Also the potassium cryolite is an indispensable additive for grinding wheels.At present,the potassium cryolite is not instead of Na3AlF6 to use as the electrolyte for reduction aluminium.Once the inert anode and wetness cathode are successfully developed to use as electrolyte,the aluminium would be reduced under ultra low temperature(~500℃),50% power consumption would be reduced,and the market of potassium cryolite would be markedly expanded twenty years or more long time later.The potassium cryolite can be made by conventional chemical method,also is a by-product from Al-Ti-B master alloy,but their quality and each physical chemistry properties are same.
