Most of the bronzes unearthed from the Tomb No. 3 of the Shigushan Cemetery of the Western Zhou Dynasty in Baoji City, Shaanxi bear inscriptions. The square yi-wine vessel and the two you- wine vessels set on the fin-stand all have the clan insignia "Hu 户" . In the past catalogs of the tradi- tional antiquarian collections, the ge-dagger axes bearing the same clan insignia which was said to be unearthed in Xi'an was found. It is suggested by these evidences that the "Hu" would be the "扈" in present-day Huxian County. The cling-tripod, which was unearthed also from Tomb No. 3 and num- bered as 81, bears incised inscription, the vessel owner "zhong chen 中臣" in which was the court official serving the King and the Queen. The zun-vessel numbered as 14 bears the name of the owner "", which was also frequently seen in the bronze inscriptions of the mid and late Western Zhou Dy- nasty
