摘要
晚清重臣左宗棠"经营"西北多年,对于西北的发展可谓贡献颇多,其中在教育方面开展过许多实践。这是因为他出身于耕读之家,本身具有较高的文化素养,他到西北之后,采取了一系列振兴教育的措施,奠定了西北近代教育的基础,加强了民族团结,稳定了边疆局势。
The important official of late Qing Dynasty, Zuo Zongtang managed northwest for many years, and contributed for the development of northwest so much, especially in education. Because he was born in the family of studying and he himself had higher literacy, after he came to northwest, he took a series of measures to promote education, which laid the foundation for modern education of northwest, strengthened the national unity and stabled the situation of bor- der land.
