摘要
瘦客户机作为新一代终端,在图书馆检索服务中随着终端设备生产技术的不断进步,其功能及种类也发生了质的飞跃,因此可以预见在不久之后,瘦客户机将会在图书馆的电子阅览室等要求更高的环境下得到广泛的应用。介绍了瘦客户机及其应用现状,探讨了目前图书馆阅览室在PC使用中面临的一些问题,分析了在图书馆电子阅览室部署瘦客户机的优势,讨论了瘦客户机的选择与部署方式,指出了瘦客户机部署的相对劣势及注意事项。
As a new generation of terminal, the functions and types of thin-client has had the quantitative leap along with the continuous progress of the manufacturing technique of terminal device in library＇s retrieval service, therefore, it can be predicted that the thin-client will be widely used in library＇s E-reading room with higher environmental requirements. This paper introduces the thin-client and its current application, probes into some problems currently existing in PC application in library＇s reading room, analyzes the advantages of library＇s E-reading room in deployment of thin client, discusses the methods for selection and deployment of thin client, and points out some relative disadvantage of and the matters needing attention in deployment of thin client.
