摘要
冷战期间,美国在全球范围内输出了大量的图书以塑造"美国形象":一方面,通过宣传共产主义世界的"红色殖民主义"和"邪恶"本质,以反衬自我形象的"光辉"、"正义"和"民主";另一方面,集中刻画了以"人民资本主义"新范式、"原子和平"形象、"不断进步"的种族关系、"共同的儿童理想国"和"平凡"的美国女性为表征的"美国形象",力图强化全球受众对美国身份与利益的心理认同,最终赢得冷战的胜利。
During the cold war,the United States output large quantities of books in the whole world in order to shape 'American images': on the one hand,highlighting the ' brilliant','just' and 'democratic' images of the America by propagandizing the essence of communist world as 'red colonialism' and 'vicious';on the other hand,portraying the 'people's capitalism',images of 'atomic for peace','continually progressing'images of race relations,'the universal republic of childhood' and 'ordinary' American women with the characteristic of 'American images',so as to strengthen the psychology identity of all people in the world and finally win in the cold war.
