摘要
通过对希罗多德《历史》相关论述的分析,揭示出希罗多德将历史视为一种受控于神明的存在,认为人间的福祸兴衰掌控在神的手中,在神人关系中,人降格为神的玩偶,无知和无能地挣扎在历史中,却总是悲情地迈向毁灭。希罗多德的思想中蕴含着浓厚的宿命论色彩。
By analyzing some elaboration of Herodotus＇ The History, it will be revealed that Herodotus considered history as the exist- ence controlled by the power of Gods. With this idea of history, Herodotus believed that the vicissitudes of human affairs in history are based on the will of Gods. Under this relationship between Gods and men, human is nothing but the puppet of Gods, who struggled in the history innocently and insolently, failed and was destroyed in the end wretchedly and inevitably. Herodotus＇ idea of history is satu- rated with strong color of fatalism.
