摘要
根据一具有头骨和下颌的完整骨架,建立窃蛋龙类一新属新种:王氏宁远龙。它具有以下特征:至少具有10对上颌和14对下颌牙齿;股骨长于肠骨;远端尾椎体加长。具有牙齿的加长的头骨和下颌(比其他任何已报道的窃蛋龙类均原始)显示它是目前最原始的窃蛋龙类。在其体腔内发现的种子为其食种子的行为提供了直接证据。
A new oviraptorosaur Ningyuansaurus wangi gen. et sp. nov. is erected based on a nearly complete skeleton with skull and lower jaw. It is characterized by： at least 10 upper and 14 lower jaw teeth on each side; ratio of femur to ilium is approximate 1.93; distal caudal vertebrae much elongated. The elongated skull with toothed jaws （more teeth than any other reported oviraptorosaurs） indicates that it is the most basal oviraptorosaur so far. The ovules within the body cavity provide the direct evidence for its seed-eating behavior.
