China has lodged a complaint with the World Trade Organization （WTO） about European Union（EU） subsidies for photovoltaic （PV） products. The case, launched by China＇s Ministry of Commerce （MOFCOM） on November 5, focuses on subsidies granted by Italy and Greece. According to the law in the two countries, electricity is entitled to certain subsidies if the power is generated by PV installations with the main components produced within the EU or the European Economic Area.
