The Chinese excavator industry has developed remarkably from 2002 to 2011,thanks to the rapidly increasing investment in fixed assets.The compound growth rate of the sales volume of Chinese construction machinery increased to 27.7%.Meanwhile,the competence of local brands kept rising.Their market shares accounted for 39% in the Chinese market by the end of 2011. The rapid growth of Chinese exports in the past ten years has been led by the foreign demands.The prices of commodities climbed high, the economies kept roaring, and the demand increased rapidly in this period.All these factors have spurred the exports.But the major competence of Chinese goods was only the low prices.In the next decade, the Chinese exporters will face a dwindling global economy and weak overseas demands.The manufacturers will have to improve their R&D to enhance the competence. During this period,the domestic demands will be a vital drive to the industry.There will be three replacements:the imported key parts will be replaced by homemade ones,the earliest machines will be replaced by new ones,and the imported secondhand machines will be replaced by local products. This will be a new cycle for the construction machinery industry.
