摘要
美国清教主义是个包括宗教、政治、社会等几乎涉及人类生活每个方面错综复杂的观念,对美国人的思维和文学的塑造产生持久影响,在美国现实主义的小说中,同样留有清教主义的痕迹。本文旨在探究美国文化的中的清教主义根源及其对美国现实主义小说创作的影响。
American Puritanism is a complicated notion concerned with many factors,such as religion,politics,society and human life,and it also makes a great impact on the American literature and their thinking.In American realistic fiction,we can find the origin of Puritanism.This paper tries to analyze the origin of American Puritanism and its influence on the creation of American realistic fiction.
