摘要
以硅胶负载对甲苯磺酸为催化剂,催化苯甲酸和乙醇反应合成苯甲酸乙酯。考察了原料配比、催化剂用量、反应时间和带水剂用量对反应的影响。实验结果表明,苯甲酸乙酯合成的较佳条件为:苯甲酸6.10 g,n(苯甲酸)∶n(乙醇)=1∶2,催化剂用量为1.2 g,带水剂环己烷用量为12 mL,回流反应3 h,苯甲酸乙酯的产率为76.3%,纯度达98%。抑菌活性试验结果表明,苯甲酸乙酯对混合菌的生长有良好的抑菌能力,抑菌率优于富马酸单乙酯和山梨酸乙酯。
Ethyl benzoate was synthesized by benzoic acid and ethyl alcohol as starting materials and with silica supported p - toluence sulfonic acid as catalyst. The influences of synthesis conditions on the reaction such as molar ratio of reactants, dosage of catalyst, reaction time, and dosage of water stripping agent were studied. Experimental results indicated that optimum reaction conditions were identified as follows:starting from 6. 10 g of benzoic acid; dosage of catalyst, 1.2 g; molar ratio of benzoic acid to ethanol, 1 : 2; with 12 mL of cyclohexane as water stripping agent ;reaction time,3 h. Under the conditions above ,yield of the ethyl benzoate product achieves 76.3 %, and purity achieves 98 %. Microbial activity inhibition test results indicated that ethyl benzoate has good inhibiting activity for hybrid bacteria, which is better than that of monoethyl fumarate and ethyl sorbate.
