摘要
欧洲中心论是近代欧洲殖民扩张和强势文化下的产物,集中体现强者的思维逻辑和利益诉求。反对欧洲中心论是中国史学健康发展的必然要求和重大使命。周谷城长期从事世界史的教学和研究,深谙欧洲中心论的荒谬与危害,率先对其展开全面分析与有力批判。1978年后,周谷城又从文化层面对其加以分析和批判。尽管存在不足和局限,周谷城对欧洲中心论的分析和批判仍不失开创性,对中国史学的健康发展意义重大。
As the result of modern Europeans＇ colonial expansion and strong culture,Euro-centrism reflects Europeans＇ thought mode and interests demand.It is necessary to deny Euro-centrism for the healthy development of Chinese historiography.Having taught and researched world history for a long time,Knowing the absurdity and harm of Euro-centrism,Zhou Gucheng opposed to it thoroughly in China.After 1978,Zhou Gucheng further and fully opposed to Euro-centrism in culture.Even if having shortage and limitation,Zhou Gucheng＇s opposition to Euro-centrism was pioneering and profound to the healthy development of Chinese historiogaphy.
