摘要
随着学界对李劼人《大波》研究的深入,对《大波》与"历史小说"之间的关联出现了质疑之声,而与之相关的李劼人与左拉的关系,李劼人是自然主义作家还是现实主义作家,其《大波》是自然主义的还是现实主义的等等问题,成为我们需要解决的重要问题。论文借用当年的重要评论者——郭沫若与曹聚仁——的言说进行分析,指出了它们之间的差异,认为新旧《大波》都是对辛亥历史的不同叙事。
With the furthering of studies on Li Jieren＇ s Da Bo （ Great Waves）, there has emerged some query over the correlation between Da Bo （Great Waves） and ＂history novels＂. Moreover, it is imperative that we should clarify issues like the relationship between Li Jieren and Zola, whether Li Jieren is a writer of naturalism or of real- ism, and whether his novel Da Bo （ Great Waves） is a work of naturalism or of realism, etc. By referring to the statements of two then major critics--Guo Moruo and Cao Juren, this paper analyzes the two versions of the novel and points out their differences, thus concluding that the old and new versions of Da Bo （ Great Waves） are diverse narratives for the history of the 1911 Revolution.
