以ArcGIS系列软件为基础，建立油田空间数据库和符号库，构建基础层、数据层、服务层和应用层4层架构的油田地理信息系统，紧密围绕油田勘探开发需求，详细介绍以井位部署为核心，以地理、地质数据综合应用为目的具体功能，并对GIS在油田的发展进行展望。
Based on ArcGIS to build spatial database and symbols library, construct four laye structure of oilfield geographic intor- mation systems which is base layer, data layer, service layer and application layer,Focusing on the, exploration and development needs, inlroduces well placement, query, analysis and cartography flmetions in detail, and prospects the development of the GIS in oilfield.
