摘要
弥尔顿是英国革命中的重要人物,自由主义是其思想的核心,个体意识像一根红线贯穿了其自由主义理论的始终。弥尔顿通过在革命中的政论性小册子和革命高潮过后的长诗来呼唤个体意识的觉醒,呼唤革命,追求自由和权利。这种个体意识的觉醒成为了英国革命有力的思想,也为近代资本主义政治学说的形成提供了理论基础。
Milton is was an important figure in the English Revolution. His core of his thought is liberalism with individual consciousness running through the beginning and end of his theory of liberalism like a red thread. Through little pamphlet of political comment during the period of English revolution and epic poems after the climax of the revolution, he tried to awaken the individual conscious- ness of the people with a calling for revolution in pursuit of freedom and personal right. Such awakening of the individual consciousness became a powerful force for English Revolution, and provided the theoretical foundation for the political doctrines of capitalism in the modern times.
