A 46-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital in July 2010, complaining of chest discomfort for 20 days. There was no ptosis, dysphagia, dysarthria, or other signs of myasthenia. Chest X-ray and computed tomographic scanning demonstrated a large non-lobulated mass located in the left anterior mediastmum with adhesion to the left hmg, combined with small amount of effusion in left pleural cavity （Figure 1A and IB）.
