摘要
改革开放三十多年来,中国坚持以经济建设为中心,现已基本实现了经济现代化,但社会建设还相对滞后。进入新世纪以来,党和国家开始高度重视经济与社会协调发展的问题。经济建设、政治建设、文化建设和社会建设"四位一体"总体布局的提出并写进修改后的新党章中,标志着中国的社会主义现代化事业进入以社会建设为重点的新阶段。通过社会建设实现社会现代化,是一项宏大、复杂、艰巨的历史任务,要分阶段、按步骤有序推进,这将是中国未来三十年的主要任务。
Since the past 30 years of reform and opening-up, China has persisted in the center of economy establishment, and the economic modernization has been basically realized, but social construction comparatively fall behind. When entering the new millennium, Chinese government starts focusing on balanced development of both economy and society, which shows the 4 in 1 pattern with the integration of economic, political, cultural and social construction. It is the grand and significant task to realize social modernization through social construction.
