摘要
美国女作家安妮·普鲁的小说《船讯》蕴含了丰富的家庭伦理内涵。作家通过主人公重建家庭的经历在小说中完成了家庭价值观的建构。小说描写了一个其貌不扬、才智平庸的中年男人奎尔如何重获新生,探讨了家庭成员的归属感以及家庭关系对个人的影响问题,肯定了家庭传统在纷繁复杂的现代社会作为个人价值观的积极作用。完整的家庭结构、真挚的家庭亲情、对家庭历史的正确认知可以愈合一个人过去的伤痛,使其得到救赎、重生,从而得以追求人伦之乐。
American woman writer,Annie Proulx,weaves the ethical familial theme into her novel,The Shipping News.She constructs family values through depicting the rebuilding of the protagonist＇s family in the story.It is about how an unattractive ordinary middle-aged man,Quoyle,achieves renewal.The novel probes into the perception of affiliation on the part of the family members and the influence imposed by the relationship among the family members.It confirms that the family heritage plays an active role in shaping an individual＇s values in modern society.An intact family,a loving familial relationship and a correct perception of the family heritage can help a man overcome the traumas of the past,attain redemption,and thus be able to pursue happy human relationships.
