The orchard plot selection, good varieties arrangement, sloping fields amelioration, adequate fertilization, drought resistant cultivation, rational prune and others are the safeguard of apple to have top quality and high production in loess hilly gully region of northern Shaanxi province. The operational theory and method of these measures are expounded.
