Considering that current resource reservation protocol (RSVP) architectures can not scale well for the requirements of large number of flows, a new protocol named scalable resource reservation protocol (SRP) was proposed by Werner Almesberger to automatically aggregate flows on each link in the network. This paper introduced the implementation of RSVP and analyzed its present problems. Also, this paper dealt with the structure and implementation of SRP and gave a realization algorithm of the evaluator for SRP.
