Manikin being an advanced technology that simulates heat and moisture exchange between human body and environment has been widely used in testing and evaluating heat and moisture comfort of clothings. The paper has summarized the classification, basic structure principle and application of the manikin in the field of textile with the focus on the development history of global manikin, research status at home and abroad, development prospect, method standards and product standards related to the manikin introduced emphatically.
