摘要
《世说新语》中记录了一些名僧的言行事迹,这些名僧是以名士的身份被记述的,他们与当时的名士有着广泛而深入的交游。这一现象具有丰富的历史、文化内涵,是魏晋时期玄、佛合流的集中体现,也是魏晋名士风流的重要组成部分。名僧在中国传统文化尤其是魏晋玄学方面的良好修养以及玄、佛在思想上的一致性是名僧与名士交游的重要基础。而博大精深、长于思辨的佛理也为玄学的发展补充了新鲜的血液。名僧受名士风流的影响而名士化,并有多方面的表现。玄、佛合流促进了佛学在士人中的普及和佛学的独立发展,从而推动了作为宗教信仰的佛教在上层的传播,进而对当时乃至后世的历史和文化产生重大的影响。
In Shishuo Xinyu there are some figures of famous monks and they are narrated as celebrities due to their contact with celebrities at that time. This phenomenon has significant cultural connotation and it is the embodiment of the confluence of metaphysical and Buddha culture and part of the style of the celebrities in Wei and Jin Dynasty. This article, based on Shishuo Xinyu and LIU Xiao＇s annotation and other references, explores systematically the contact between monks and celebrities such as the prerequisite, basis and influence of the contact as well as the tendency of becoming celebrities on the part of the monks.
