摘要
作为社会教育和文化服务机构,公共图书馆是开展读书活动的主要阵地,其丰富的文献信息资源是倡导全民阅读理念的有力支撑,应当在倡导全民阅读方面发挥更大的作用。文章阐述了公共图书馆在促进社会阅读中所发挥的作用并提出了一些设想。
As a social education and cultural service organization,public libraries are the centres for reading activities.Its rich literature and information resources support and promote public reading.It should also play a greater role in the advocacy of popular reading.The article explains the role of public libraries in the promotion of social reading and puts forward some ideas for the further development.
