摘要
道德是权能的重要表现,是构成及维持人类社会功能的权能模式,道德的权能可以说是文明秩序的骨干,"道"无处不在,无穷无尽,具有整体自反的特性,使自己不断重造再生而为万物生生不息的创化之元或泉源,"道"有超越性及内在性的特质,其内在性特质又称"德","道"与"德"在权能基础上本质是相同的,"道"是"德","德"是"道";原创字"道"字的原本语义内容是道的人的图腾物体,"德"字的古意也隐含于"道"字的形符,以直立的姿态行走的权能及能力为重点;"德"是持久正直的活动或行动的善德或超卓,人类虽有能力达成,但要实现正当或真实的人性,仍须靠努力;从广阔的角度考虑,中国哲学传统或是我们开展研究事业的最佳位置,要寻找问题的答案,我们必须先正确认识太古时期的语义学中的古代逻辑及文法。
Dao de or morality is an important manifestation of all-pervasive Power and constitutes and sustains the human society. The power of morality forms the pivot of a civilized order. Dao is omnipresent, ceaseless, self-reflective in its total orientation, perpetuates itself and becomes the source of incessant procreativity for all things. Dao is also transcendent and immanent, with its immanence called de. Dao and de are essentially identical in the power point of view. Dao is de, and de is dao. Etymologically the Chinese character dao was a totemic expression indicating human being. The ancient meaning of de is also implicit in the glyphic representation of dao with an upright posture as the key to the power or ability of walking. De denotes enduring upright activity or excellence and goodness in action. Although human being is capable of de, achieving proper and real humanity requires effort. Broadly conceived, the Chinese philosophical tradition might be the best starting point for our research enterprise. In order to find answers to fundamental questions, we must afford due attention to ancient logics and grammar found in ancient semantics.
