摘要
新诗,也曾称为白话诗、自由诗。但"新诗"一名不能标明其任何文体特征,"白话诗"古已有之,"自由诗"在格律体新诗出现之后已不能概括全部新诗。人们目前能够想到的命名,如"现代汉诗"、"现代诗"、"语体诗"、"西诗"等,都不大得体。"胡诗"虽然比较传神,却不大可能被普遍接受。故这一诗体,还是叫回它最初的名称"白话诗"为宜。
The name of ＂new poetry＂ doesn＇t mark any stylistic characteristics, it＇s only a temporary name. Other names such as ＂vernacular poetry＂, ＂free poetry＂ are difficult to summarize all of its characteristics. ＂Style poetry＂ and ＂colloquial poetry＂ is not as well as ＂vernacular poetry＂. ＂Western poetry＂ or ＂Hu poetry＂ is also inevitably biased. Through investigating its all kinds of names and weighting the advantages and disadvantages, ＂new poetry＂ should be called ＂vernacular poetry＂.
