Research on multi-access selection mechanism for multi-mode terminals in heterogeneous wireless networks

摘要 为进一步提升多模移动终端的传输性能和服务连续性,设计了一种利用异构无线网络多无线传输分集进行多网络同时接入和并行传输的多模终端多接入选择机制,该机制应用指数平滑方法处理已测量参数;使用状态转移模型管理终端多个网卡的接入选择策略;采用效用函数动态平衡终端功耗与传输速率。仿真结果表明与传统切换式接入选择相比,所提出的方法显著减少了不必要的接入重选次数,并在保证终端功耗与吞吐量的前提下提高了传输能效。 Aiming at further promoting the multi-mode terminal's transmission performance and service continuity, a multi-access selection mechanism for multi-mode terminals which exploits the multi-radio transmission diversity of the heterogeneous wireless networks for accessing multiple networks simultaneously and executing parallel transmission was designed. The mechanism applied exponential smoothing method to process the measured parameters; used state transi- tion models to manage access selection strategies of terminal's multiple network interface cards; adopted utility functions to dynamically balance terminal's power consumption and transmission speed. Simulation results demonstrate the decrease of unnecessary re-selections, the enhancement of transmission energy efficiency under the premise of the guaran- tee of terminal's power consumption and throughput compared with the traditional switched access selection.
