摘要
上海师范大学首任校长廖世承先生曾于1915—1919年在美国布朗大学攻读教育学和心理学，成绩优异，相继获得学士、硕士、博士学位。同时，廖先生在美国完成了道德判断和智力诚实这两个非智力测验，在非智力测验方面作出了世界领先的贡献。廖先生的非智力测验具有鲜明的特点。
The first president of Shanghai Normal University Sze-chen Liao had studied for the degrees of education and psychology at Brown University in the United States during 1915-1919 and got the degrees of bachelor, master, and Ph. D suc-cessively. Liao had completed two non - intelligence tests ： moral judgment test and intellectual honesty test in America and made the world＇ s leading contribution in the area of non - intelligence test. Liao＇ s non - intelligence tests have distinct characteris-tics.
